Boyd Maritime Law

Many people in Florida work on barges as work platforms or barges that move commodities around when pushed by tugboats. These workers are typically Jones Act seamen entitled to the same personal injury type damages as fishermen are entitled to. If the barge or tugboat is unseaworthy and that causes your accident or if a co-worker negligently injures you or you are not properly instructed on how to do a project or not provided with enough manpower or the right tools to do the assigned work, you may have a Jones Act case. This is a complicated area of the law and you should consult with a maritime law to determine what your legal rights are. Call Boyd Law, PA if you have questions on what type of case you have and how much your case might be worth.
